SRDO  is committed to achieving the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDG) which include affirming the right to good health and providing adequate food for all.SRDO plans to do this by supporting the development of sustainable healthcare systems in the areas where we work.

 

SRDO believes that good health and access to healthcare are fundamental human rights. The overall goal of SRDO health programme is to improve the health of the poorest people and ensure that they have access to food. SRDO nutrition programmes work to prevent malnutrition and ensure that those who do suffer can gradually recover to full health.

 

 

In tackling hunger, SRDO aims to transform the lives of those living in poverty. Every year, we helps improve the health of thousands of poor people. SRDO work is guided by a health policy. For the most part, SRDO works on improving health through primary healthcare in emergency, rehabilitation and development situations specifically focusing on the following three areas:

 

  • Maternal, neonatal and child health;
  • Nutrition;
  • Water and sanitation;
